Happy Reading! :)

I'm going to implement a "one-book buying " limit for myself after this week since the holidays are coming up and I have quite a few books I want to get through before the 2012 Debut Author Challenge, because goodness knows that's going to be a doozy for me.

Anyway, on to the good stuff...

From Barnes and Noble:

Title: Unearthly
Author: Cynthia Hand
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy, Romance
Barnes & Noble | Book Depository | Goodreads

Armed with a 25% off coupon I set out to find something that was inexpensive (paperback) and on my wishlist. Too many to choose from, but this was on their "Teen Favorites" shelf and with the coupon it came to about $7. Sweet.

From Strand Bookstore:

Title: Legend
Author: Marie Lu
Genres: Young Adult, Sci-Fi, Dystopian
Barnes & Noble | Book Depository | Goodreads

YAY! So happy to have found this and there was so sign of it being an ARC or non-selling copy, so I didn't feel bad taking the one and only copy there ;)

Title: Hush, Hush
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
Genres: Young Adult, Fantasy, Romance
Barnes & Noble | Book Depository | Goodreads

Okay, I know I am SO late on this series>_< I originally had mixed thoughts on this and I knew a few people that read it but didn't care too much for it. BUT I did notice that a lot of you gave it a high rating on goodreads, so for $6 I thought I'd give it a shot.

From Kobo:

Title: The Strange Case of Finley Jane
Author: Kady Cross
Genres: Young Adult, Steampunk
Barnes & Noble | Book Depository | Goodreads

I recently downloaded the Kobo app onto my phone and grabbed this free e-book. Since this is the prequel to The Girl in the Steel Corset (something I still need to get my hands on!) I thought it would be a nice way to test the waters.

For Review:

Title: Night Fish
Author: Kristine Ong Muslim
Genres: Poetry
Elevated Books | Goodreads

Title: The Secret of Lies
Author: Barbara Forte Abate
Genres: Fiction, Contemporary
Barnes & Noble | Book Depository | Goodreads

I didn't realize that was the prequel to Steel Corset! I got that on my kobo too!

Good idea on the book-buying limit... :P

I have a feeling we'll be doing some book shopping when I'm there in Dec!

I really liked Hush, Hush, but Crescendo pissed me off. I haven't got around to reading Silence yet. And Legend? Sweet!

I've heard Legend is really good. I hope you enjoy it! (I haven't read the Hush, Hush series yet either. I'm kind of skeptical about it.)

Hush, Hush was a good book! I actually have the 3rd book on hold at the library. :)

I both like and don't like Hush Hush. It was very addictive reading, but I had enough problems with it that I didn't want to buy the second one - if I come to a time with no books at home to read, and book 2 is in the library, I'll probably read it just to see what happens, but I'm not in a rush to get to it. Looking forward to seeing what you think :)
